“I really want to thank you for providing quality care for my baby at this young age.

Johnny has enjoyed every single day here and I believe he will have more fun in the next month as he is older. The love and care he has received here is way beyond my expectation. I feel he is even happier at day care than at home. Johnny smiles like sunshine whenever I picked him up after work, which really warms my heart. I don’t know how much he can remember this experience at day care when he grows up, but for me it is very memorable.

I have recommended this day care to a lot of friends who have a baby (and even people who plan to have a baby). It is really a great day care especially for people working at Oracle.”

“My daughter has been going to Redwood Shores elementary for quite a while now and she greets teachers with a wide open arm when we get to the door – ever since the first week! The place is very clean – teachers are extremely friendly and professional – and my daughter has learned two languages by now! They have great programs, put the kids to nap on schedule and the kids love eating with other kids. She eats much more there than home – she sings – knows the alphabet song and twinkle, twinkle, little star; engages with books, music – she colors well and is very aware of all her surroundings and she has learned a lot in this school – she is not even 18 months yet 🙂 I am very thankful for your great management and planning, Catherine and your wonderful staff – We love your place – please have anyone call me for reference.”

“RSCC is a great transitional care place for toddlers and infants before they head off to a more structured preschool environment. The elements of care, attention to diet, cleanliness of play area which you would want in a smaller home based care set up are all there. My daughter Sukanya was there from her early twos for a good 9-10 months and she was well looked after; she learnt good motor skills and had desirable level of cognitive development in all areas. Plus she learnt some Mandarin. She really liked the warmth of Teacher Amy. Because of the home like feel, hours of operation and convenience, we valued RSCC. We have used it for back up care many times even after graduating Sukanya to a larger preschool environment. Highly recommend this place with the request that they should consider bringing hot lunch back, my daughter loved it when she was there.”

“My daughter has been going to RWSCC for three months now. Her first visit was around 12 months old. She enjoys her time there by playing with all kinds of toys. She also gets along well with the teachers. Teachers spent extensive time to new kids to help them establish their familiarity with the new environment. She had a very quick transition and can take full naps and eat all her food even during the second and third time of visit. Other children in the RWSCC are very friendly to her, too. RWSCC gave me peace of mind to hand over my child’s care to them during the day when I have to work. It’s a trustworthy and responsible facility that can take good care of small children, based on my own experience so far.”

“We sent our daughter to Redwood Shores Child Care for the toddler class starting in January 2015.  We decided to send our daughter here because of its clean environment and caring teachers.  Prior to this daycare, my daughter was in another childcare. Shortly after our daughter started here, she began to love to go to school. She loves her teachers in this daycare. I feel teachers here are flexible and meet each little ones’ need. I love the moment when I go to pick up my daughter everyday- kids there always smiles happily to say goodbye to each other. “

The Huang Family (Foster City, April 2015)

“My daughter started attending RWSCC when she was 2 years old.  She loves the staff and especially Teacher Amy.  Teacher Amy is enthusiastic, energetic and caring to all the kids.  My daughter learns a lot of Mandarin, both English and mandarin songs and sing at home for us.   It is a lovely place for kids to learn. The safe environment puts parents’ mind at ease since their kids are in good hands.”
From Beaky of Haardt Family (San Carlos, March 2015)

“My son Benjamin joined redwood shores child care center when he just turned 2. During the first couple of days, both Benjamin and I were anxious (just like most kids and parents), Catherine gave lots of one-on-one attention to Benjamin by taking him for a walk and holding him a lot, she also sent me photos about Benjamin playing with other kids to ease my stress. Due to Catherine and other teacher’s effort, our transition was very easy and painless, I was so happy to choose such a great place for my son!
During the past 6 months, I’ve been constantly pleased by the care given to my son from the loving teachers. The teachers always keep the place clean and well organized, my son only got sick once during the winter time. Teacher Bella is a very sweet and energetic young lady, she always shares the details of how Ben spent his day, and I can see Ben adores her a lot. Ben also learned a lot – he surprised me with new words, new songs and skills all the time, most importantly, he seems very happy to go to school every day. I would highly recommend this place to every parent!”
From DongMei of  Ye Family (Redwood shores, February 2015)

“My daughter, Olivia has been attending RWSCC for a little over a year. She enjoys spending time with Teachers Amy and Angela, learning Chinese, eating home cooked meals, doing arts and crafts and playtime.  RWSCC is a wonderful, safe, fun and caring place.  Olivia couldn’t be happier!”
From Cathy of Renard Family (Redwood Shores, October 2014)

“Our daughter Zoie started attending RWSCC at 13 months old. Thanks to the loving care of Teachers Catherine, Cindy and Bella, we have seen tremendous growth in the past 8 months especially in areas of social development and character. Zoie learned how to walk, interact with her peers, blow kisses, say hello-thank you and other words in Mandarin, etc. She has also become more sociable towards adults. Every day we are shown a daily log sheet detailing when and what she has eaten, and sometimes a short comment that summarizes her day. We really appreciate Bella sending us photos via text and short video clips showing how much fun Zoie is having throughout the day. That really put our hearts at ease. Such actions are not expected, but truly demonstrated her care & love towards the children she takes care of everyday.”
From Cherry of Lau Family (Redwood Shores, August 2014)

“My child attended the Redwood Shores Child Care when she was approaching two years old and we absolutely love the teachers and staffs there.  I must say that the director and teachers are phenomenal!  They couldn’t be any more caring, attentive, and affectionate.  They also strive to meet the needs of the parents and the child.  My child was really happy to go there! ”
–   The Kwok Family (Redwood City, April 2014)

“The teachers at Redwood Shores Child Care have shown my boys so much kindness, love, and patience.  In the morning when it is time to go to daycare, the boys (Leo, 3, and Jack, 1.5) run to our front door excitedly.  Leo has even asked a few times on a weekend or holiday if he can go to daycare, so I know they must really enjoy themselves!  It’s a great feeling to be confident in the care they receive while I’m at work.  I don’t have to worry; I know they are safe and having fun playing and learning with their friends and teachers.  I am grateful for the warm, loving environment you have provided and will continue to recommend you!”
The Neuburger Family (San Mateo, Jan 2014)

“Our son enjoyed going to school at Redwood Shores Preschool and we found the teachers to be very loving and kind. As two working parents, good quality childcare is an essential part of our lives.  Catherine and the rest of the teachers did a fantastic job. He made some great friends and also gained a great foundation in mandarin in his nearly two years here.  Happy New Year!”

The Kam Family (Menlo Park, December 2013)

“We are so happy and fortunate to have found RWSCC.  It is exactly what we were looking for: Mandarin immersion, intimate setting, with small child-teacher ratio.  The facility is clean, safe, and homey.  Being first time parents, we were nervous about having someone else care for our son, but RWSCC has made our transition back to work easy. They give a daily report of naps, feedings, and diapers which has been quite helpful.   Although he is still too young, we look forward to the day he can join the school curriculum, as it seems to be filled with fun and educational activities. Our son is always happy when we drop him off and pick him up. It has been such a relief to leave our son everyday knowing that he is truly cared for and loved.  We are extremely happy with Catherine, Cindy, and Amy! Two thumbs up! ”

“RWSCC provided a safe and stimualing enviroment for Hugh. They are very good at making sure that he is feeding and napping on schedule. Teacher Cindy is kind and loving, Hugh enjoys being with her. My mind is at ease the minute I drop Hugh off at RSCC, I know he is in good hands and that his day will be filled with fun activities.”
Fan Family (Redwood Shores, Jan 2013)

“We put our 4-month-old son Dylan in RWSCC (Redwood Shores Child Care) and he’s grown and thrived during the past 3 months. The space is very clean as he’s hardly had a sniffle and he comes home happy but tired from his daily activities. Teacher Cindy is so calm and caring and Catherine always takes an extra few minutes to talk to us about our child. We very much appreciate the activities/pictures provided to commemorate special holidays (Halloween and Christmas) as well as the daily log of naps/feedings. RWSCC makes an effort to partner with parents in caring for the kids and we look forward to the next year together!”
Kim Family (Belmont, Jan 2013)

“Thank you for being Leo and Jack’s home away from home. The wonderful care they receive is evident by their smiles and the fact Leo doesn’t want to leave! They love you two and their new friends. Merry Christmas! ”

“Catherine and her staff have provided a wonderful and caring environment for Aidan these past few months.  Aidan was only a mere 4 months old when he started at the day care.  As any first time mother would be, I was very worried and unsure of “strangers” watching my child.  However, since day one, Catherine and her staffs immediately gained my trust.  They were both very attentive to Aidan’s needs and were always very informative about his daily routine/activities by the time I came to pick him up.  Aidan has always been a difficult baby to feed, but the care provider took her time to make sure he finished all his milk — and this was never an easy task for my husband or myself!  I really appreciate all the care they’ve given our little boy, and I know he will miss them greatly.  I would highly recommend this day care for any infants or toddlers!”
Chiu Family (Redwood Shores, May 2012)

“Thank you for being so patient and warm with Aidan during his first few days. I think it has been harder for me than it is for him! I know he’ll love coming to your day care and I reall appreciate all the time you devote to Aidan!”
Sara (Redwood Shores, March 2012)

“My son Max went to the Redwood Shores Child Care (RSCC) for about 1.5 years, and I would recommend it to other parents.  The care-givers speak exclusively Mandarin, so my son was able to learn a lot of Mandarin while attending.  My son started going here when he was about 1 year old and has enjoyed attending.  Initially we decided to come here because we were sending him to a more traditional school-like facility that didn’t meet our needs.  The previous school wasn’t very clean, and he ended up getting sick fairly often.  Additionally, he would be sent home from school whenever he had the slightest runny nose or mild diarrhea (which if you’re a parent, you know happens quite often).  It came to be a stress on our jobs as we had to pick him up all the time.  Now, during the 1.5 years at the RSCC, he never got even a mild flu or had diarrhea.

RWSCC keeps their facility very clean, and the care givers are very sweet and extremely loving with the children.  They prepare the children with a healthy warm lunch and snacks, so we didn’t have to pack any food, which is very nice. All the children play very nicely together, and my son was able to develop some nice friendships.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the RSCC facility for the children.”
Kremen Family (San Carlos, November 2011)

“My son Ethan attended Redwood Shores Child Care for more than a year.  I liked the small group environment which felt much more nurturing than a larger facility with a larger number of children. Since I am not a native Mandarin speaker, I wanted a daycare which Ethan would be immersed in the language. I knew when he would come home and sing Mandarin songs and be able to speak to his grandparents in Mandarin that he was really absorbing the language. The teacher is so warm and caring with the kids and I felt so comfortable that Ethan was in her care. One of the highlights of my day would be when I dropped him off and would be greeted by the wonderful smell of the lunch being prepared. It was so reassuring to know that he would be eating a nutritious and healthy home cooked meal.  I feel Ethan learned a lot and was very well cared for there”.

“We were looking for afternoon childcare for my son when he started kindergarten.  We choose Redwood Shores Childcare because it is flexible to fit our schedule, has a low children to adult ratio, and is located conveniently in our Redwood Shores neighborhood.  Our son attends the childcare after his class, where he spends his afternoons playing with puzzles, games, and coloring in a quiet and nurturing environment.  In addition, he is exposed to Mandarin Chinese in a natural setting. ”
Heng Family from Redwood Shores (June 2011)

“We have LOVED your daycare/preschool.  I know both Quinnten and Keira were taken care of and learned a lot.  Quinnten loves the teachers there and will miss them terribly.
We can’t thank you both enough for your wonderful care of our two kids over the past 2 years.  We have loved the time Quinnten and Keira has spent at your place.  You guys are amazing and we will miss you! Thank you!”   – Shea Yan from San Mateo (May 2011)

“Catherine, I’m really appreciating Redwood Shores Child Care facility. Time flies and it has been over 2 years since my son Masami joined. All the teachers are kind, friendly, efficient for taking care of young children. I was always able to get your advice for various things, such as the daycare for the weekend or even after school programs for my older daughter Saki.  I really appreciate it. Tom and Joshua are always helping Masami to go out and enjoy the boys’ time; that is wonderful!
The food for children is nutritious, healthy,  and the atmosphere is clean and cozy. I surely recommend it to others. ”  – Yoko Motojima  from Redwood Shores(2009 – 2010)

“My daughter Lucy began going to Redwood Shores Childcare Center when she was just 10 months old. She was our first baby and it was very hard to leave her in someone else’s care. However, she has been at Redwood Shores for nearly 2 years now and I have always felt 100% confident that she was safe, loved and, of course, well fed.  The teacher always greets her with a big smile and a hug and Lucy gladly reaches out to her when we arrive in the morning. As an added bonus, now that Lucy is talking, she speaks fluently in both English and Mandarin. I’m very grateful to have found a place where I could feel good about dropping my little girl off every day.”  – Heather Sirk  from Antherton   (2009-2010)

Our son started at RSCC when he was 10 months old and he has really enjoyed his time there! I am constantly amazed by Teacher Cindy’s ability to keep track of everyone’s schedules and belongings – she is really good at remembering all the little details and she cares a lot about the kids in her care. It is reassuring to know that my son can count on her to be there (rather than at other places where there are different teachers floating in and out). RSCC provides a nice, cozy, organized, and clean environment for the babies, and we have been very pleased.

Our daughter is 2 years old and has been in the Redwood Shores Child Care for one year. We are very fond of the director Catherine, the main teacher Ms. Fangfang and all the staff. They are very loving and the kids look very happy. Our daughter learned a lot from the day care, and we can tell her progress every day. When we have concerns about our daughter’s development, we can always get useful suggestions from these experienced teachers. The day care is reliable, clean and safe. Our daughter never get sick or accident from the day care, it impressed us very much, so we could focus on our work. We really appreciate the Redwood Shores Child Care.

  9. Katie says:

I enrolled my baby Johnny full time when he was only 3 months old. We have been here for 2 months now and we really love it. I was worried if he could eat well or nap well in the day care at such young age. It turns out that he even drinks more milk and naps better than at home. Johnny is mainly taken care of by teacher He, who has many years of experience in child care. She knows everything about infants. I often see she holds my baby and sings to him. Johnny really enjoys that. He always smiles like sunshine whenever I go to pick him up. The love and care he has received here is way beyond my expectation. My baby is also occasionally taken care of by teacher Fangfang. She is amazing. She has incredible skills in teaching babies to sing, to dance and to learn. We like all the staff here. This day care center locates at a very nice neighborhood and it is very convenient for me to go home and go to work. Thank you all for giving us such wonderful experience!

  10. Rupali Sharma says:

My son was 3.5 months old, when I enrolled him at RWSCC. I am very glad and content with the day care. Catherine and her staff are super friendly and loving. I can feel, my son really enjoys his day there with them. They have got a good schedule for each day, and take special care that the baby naps well, which is so important for infants. I also do like, the record they keep for the entire day, which mentions how many naps, how long were they, feedings, #of poops and in general behaviour. As a parent, it feels very satisfying to know that the baby indeed did well.

Although me and my family always felt, my son was too little to go to a day care, but on a positive side, he did started to sleep longer during nights after he joined RWSCC. Overall, I am really thankful to Catherine and other teachers, who are so nice and loving with my son. Thank you so much.

  11. Dan says:

We enrolled our son into daycare mainly for the social aspect of being around other children. It’s something that a nanny/grandparent-caretaker can’t provide.
The RWSCC kids are great. They are happy, kind, social, and well behaved. These kids are the influences that we want to have around our child.

We all read testimonials and reviews and form opinions by visiting facilities. But in the end the proof is in the pudding. And nothing is more proof than the quality of kids at a daycare.

  12. Family Schmid says:

We enrolled our daughter Mila at RWSCC when she just turned 12 months. Although our daughter is rather shy towards new people, it took her only about a month to adjust. The staff is very caring and friendly. Now Mila is always happy when we drop her off and pick her up. After she learned walking, the teachers sometimes took her down to the older kids, which she is enjoying a lot. She likes playing with other children and we are happy that she is developing social skills through those interactions. The place is very clean and Mila never got sick or injured so far.

We are very thankful and happy that RWSCC is taking good care of our daughter and we can fully recommend the place to other parents.

  13. Kara and family says:

Our daughter has been coming to RWS CC since she was 4 months old. She is now walking and playing well with other kids at the day care. Thank you to the staff and Catherine at the day care for being so loving to her over the last year and now on her second year. We really appreciated all that everyone at RWS CC has done for the kids. Keep up the great work!!

  14. MaryBeth Yang says:

My daughter was 4 months when we started at RWSCC. From the very beginning, I knew she was happy here. Every morning when I drop her off she has a smile for Catherine and Phoebe.I can also feel the love Catherine and her staff have for her. I was nervous starting her at daycare because she has acid reflux and she needs to be held a lot and a lot of attention in general. This is where their care and love is very evident. The hold her and give her as much time and attention as she needs. They keep the facility very clean, which is impressive because my daughter spits up a lot!
Since she started at RWSCC, she has been napping better and on a good schedule. They have helped improve her socialization skills with other adults and other kids. I am so happy with our experience here and we are lucky that our daughter can go here. Thank you Catherine and Phoebe!

  15. Yu's Family says:

My son is 21 months now. He started at RWSCC when our family just moved from the east coast and apparently he went through a big transition then. We were so concerned, but Catherine and the teachers took care of my son so well, they put so much attention to my son, especially during his nap time (my son always had problem with the napping), thus they made my son’s transition so smooth. My son is now enjoying everyday at the center. Teacher Fang Fang and teacher Mei are great, experienced, and so caring. One thing we are particularly fond of the place: it is very clean and organized!

  16. The Wang family says:

My daughter has been in this daycare for 1.5 years, and her little brother is also here for half a year. All teachers are loving, friendly and helpful, they do not only take care of kids, but also teach them. My daughter was potty trained successfully, and also learn to use spoon here. Everyday when I go to pick up them, my daughter and son even do not want to go home.

The daycare is safe and clean, my kids rarely get sick, that impressed me. Thank you so much!

  17. Xun and her family says:

My daughter was enrolled at the age of two and fit in well since day one, thanks to the friendly and caring teachers. They keep the learning plans and curriculums updated every month. My daughter has made impressive progress in communication and social skills since.

Every morning, we drop her off without being worried and know she will be well taken care of there and spend another happy day. This is the kind of daycare facility each parent is looking for and wishes to find.

  18. Stephanie Schnizlein says:

My husband and I visited this location (and several others) when my son was a few weeks old in preparation for my return to work. We were immediately impressed with the clean, organized spaces and set up for the daycare. The location is convenient (close to home and easy to drop off and pick up) and the staff are kind and welcoming. I was nervous to leave my 4 month old son (first time mom!) but was comforted by Catherine and assured via text messages and pictures during the work day that he was doing well, smiling and definitely being cared for. It is clear that he adores Phoebe, his daycare provider and it evident that all of the staff really like him as well! I continue to get photos of him doing silly things, which always warms my heart while at work. I’m provided a daily log of sleep times, dirty diapers, mood during the day and feeding times – so helpful! The biggest challenge I’ve had is the communication barrier, as I don’t speak Mandarin, but Catherine has always been available via phone, text or email to deliver messages or provide clarity.

  19. Martin Family says:

RSCC has been a great place for our son, who has been there since he was 6 months old. Typical of first time parents, my husband and I were extremely nervous about being away from the baby all day. Fortunately, Catherine checked-in and sent us pictures to let us know that he was adjusting well. And since then, she has been readily available for any questions. We receive a daily report, which is helpful and keeps us at ease, but the best part is seeing how happy our son is when we pick him up every day. It makes us happy to see him interact with other children and he especially adores Teacher Phoebe. It’s evident she cares about the children too and we are grateful.

  20. Michelle says:

Our daughter started going to Elite when she was around 1 ½ years old. This is a bilingual English/Mandarin daycare. Our daughter started upstairs with the younger kids and now has moved downstairs with the older kids more her age (around 2-3 years old). Catherine was accommodating and attentive to our daughter’s needs in terms of when she should move downstairs and start interacting with the older kids. We can tell that the teachers (upstairs (Phoebe) and downstairs (Fang Fang and Mei)) really care about the kids. They greet us with smiling faces every day and our daughter really enjoys going there. She’s learning great social skills like how to share and play with other kids. The teachers keep the place very organized and clean. When the weather is good, they go outside to the enclosed patio to play. There’s a good upbeat atmosphere and we feel very comfortable having our daughter there.

  21. Amy says:

Our son started at this daycare when he was 6 months old and we’ve been very happy with our experience these past 5 months. He immediate liked his teacher Phoebe and he always has the biggest smile when I drop him off and he sees her. You can tell that Phoebe cares very much for all the infants which gives me peace of mind leaving him with her. She’s very organized and takes daily notes on sleep, dirty diapers, feeding times/amount as well as mood.

  22. Lisa says:

Our daughter has been going to Elite since she was around 6 months old. From the first day, Teacher Phoebe has been wonderful with her. At pick up, Teacher Phoebe explains exactly what happened during the day and you can see my daughter’s eyes light up when she is around. My daughter has transitioned better than I could have ever expected and loves going to the daycare. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great place for her to learn and grow.

  23. Nicole says:

My baby girl started at Elite Bilingual Montessori Child Care & Preschool when she was just 4 and a half months old. She is my second baby and this would be the third daycare I have used between my two girls. Elite is the best quality daycare and I am a very satisfied Mom!

Prior to her joining, my baby was refusing the bottle completely. She would go a entire day at her last daycare without eating. Catherine understood my concerns and reassured me that her teachers were very patient and will train my baby to take the bottle. Then to my surprise, after just one month we had success with the bottle! Each day my daughter would drink a little more, and now she is taking 4 bottles everyday! Besides this huge relief, the teachers at Elite are attentive and loving to my baby girl. Since the beginning, I felt a good energy in the daycare. I honestly never leave worried or feel guilty because I know my baby is in good hands. The facility is very clean and organized. Everyday I get a report card about her feedings, napping and poops. I am very pleased with Elite and I recommend this daycare 100% to any working Mother.

  24. Wei says:

My daughter started at Elite Child Care when she was 5 months old and has been there for 3 months. She enjoys her time there everyday. Teacher Amy is very warm and caring. She notes down carefully my baby’s activities, and it is also very kind of the teacher to send us lovely photos from time to time. It is so great to see her playing happily with other babies there.

The facility is well managed by Catherine and other staff. It is clean and organized. We were a little concerned to send our daughter to a daycare at such a young age, but everything works out very well. We feel very comfortable to have our daughter there, and appreciate very much the care provided to her by Teacher Amy, Catherine and other staff.

Our son started this daycare when he was 4 months old. I am super happy with his care with Teacher Amy. She is amazing and knows how to work with the babies. She is warm, loving and kind. She goes the extra step to make sure my son is comfortable and adapts to the new environment.
The daycare is managed by Catherine and her staff. What stood out for me about this place is it’s tidiness and cleanliness! Catherine and her team were very good at addressing any concerns I had when starting out. We couldn’t ask for a better care.
Thank you Catherine and Teacher Amy!

The teachers are loving and helpful. Catherine and the teaches have taken good care of my boy.
    Thanks!

My daughter has been attending RWSCC for 2 months now; she started when she was 5 months old. As first time parents, we were very hesitant to leave her in the care of others – but all our fears were washed aside upon meeting Catherine and teacher Amy. Catherine ensures the babies are in a safe, clean environment, and takes the time to get to know each of the kids & parents. As many of the other reviewers have noted, Catherine keeps the center extremely clean — and it’s very noticeable compared to many other daycare facilities we visited. Catherine & her staff have helped us tremendously in feeling comfortable with leaving Emma in their care. She keeps the numbers low, so your child really gets a lot of 1:1 interaction throughout the day.

The infant teacher, Amy, is simply wonderful! Our daughter smiles every morning when she first sees her. She is very warm and loving, and has really taken the time to get to know Emma. Additionally, Amy has worked with her to build up her strength during tummy time, captured the first time she rolled over on video, and is even helping her learn to eat solid foods. Amy and Catherine keep the lines of communication open, providing us with photos and videos throughout the day so we always know what’s happening. Emma has really thrived in Amy’s care.

I also really like that Catherine keeps the babies in a separate unit from the older kids; this helps to keep the babies from picking up extra germs and from accidentally getting hurt by the older ones. The preschool children all seem very happy when I see them each afternoon during pick-up as well, and these teachers are all very friendly. I see them actually playing with the kids, singing songs, and nursery rhymes every afternoon. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RWSCC to any parent and we plan to keep our daughter here as long as possible!

Thank you, Catherine & Amy, for providing such great care for our daughter! We are so grateful to have found you both!

Thank you for providing such a great care for my baby.

Evan really loves to go to school everyday and he comes back with a lot of new learned songs and skills. He likes to sing, draw and other activities that the school offers. We really like the teachers there. They are very kind and lovely.

Thank you, Catherine and her team, Ms.Tina & Ms. Elaine. We are so grateful to have you around Evan’s growing path.

Our 2 year old son Jeremy has attended this wonderful preschool for a year. Under the care of very loving and warm teachers Tina and Elaine, and in this cozy and personal environment, he has really thrived.

It’s pretty easy to tell that a 3 year old is happy – every day he sings songs, laughs a lot, and practically runs over to the school from the car. Also he often tells us this with his expanding vocabulary (in both English and Chinese) that he wants to go to school. Jeremy has also demonstrated increased ability clean up after himself. We feel assured that this is the perfect place for him at this point of his life.

We are very thankful to have found this school and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing learning environment for young children.

Catherine and the teachers here are wonderful! Our little boy was with them for almost a year since he turned 2 and loved it. They were so kind when he transitioned to going there and made him feel warm, safe, and comfortable. He always looked forward to going to school, playing with his friends, and learning from his teachers. What a great preschool! 🙂

We have been at RSCC for 3 months now and our son is about to turn 2. He has had a very easy transition to this program and we are very happy we finally were able to get a spot here! He is happy to arrive and see his teachers and friends. He enjoys playing inside with learning toys and outside on the patio with small toys. In this short time he has already started learning Mandarin words and numbers as well as improving in his English. The teachers work with him to practice sharing and other important social skills. He has severe food allergies and the teachers have been very supportive and careful of him. We love all the pictures and daily communication from the teachers. And as a bonus, our son loves walking up and down the stairs and along the path on his way to and from daycare, pointing out all of the flowers and plants along the way!

  32. Elizabeth C says:

We sent our son to RSCC in July 2019 when he was just a little over 2 years old. While transition to a new school with new teachers and friends took a while, Catherine and the teachers were very reassuring and sent us photos throughout the day to keep us updated. On mornings when he cried at dropoff, they were often quick to send us photos of how well he adjusted in the day.
Our son loves school now and loves his teachers and friends. His language and social skills have greatly improved and the teachers still give us regular updates on how he’s doing. One of the reasons we sent him there is to be exposed to Mandarin and I am glad he is getting that!
I appreciate the lesson plan given at the start of each month and all the care the teachers give to the children!

We greatly enjoyed going to Redwood Shores Child Care! Our son spent almost 2 years there and always was happy to go there in the morning and was always smiling when I was picking him up in the evening. The teachers are very kind and patient. They provided good support while we were doing potty training. Even though neither I nor my husband speaks Chinese, we never had a communication problem. Catherine is very responsive. We highly recommend this child care!

RWCC is really a great daycare! My son has been here for a year now since first date of 2020 when he was 14 months, and he is so far very happy! Teacher Amy and Tina have been super helpful in caring and helping him grow. Also, my son often doesn’t want to go home since he had so much fun at school with his friends. Highly recommended!!

Elite is a wonderful daycare! My son has been attending a little over a year now (he’s almost 3 yrs old) and couldn’t be happier. Teacher Tina and Teacher Amy are very sweet and caring. It’s a safe location, clean, very easy communication and the daily photos they send are thoughtful and gives us parents peace of mind. His learning skills have improved and he loves the daycare so much that some days he doesn’t want to come home. 100% recommend to anyone thinking about enrolling your child/children.

Our little Philippa started at RWSCC in August 2020 when she was 9 months old. We have been very happy with the service. Amy and Tina take great care of the children and we love the daily picture updates. The residential location is safe, nice and I have never had to struggle to park based on the pickup and drop-off times that I use. We appreciate Catherine’s updates every month. Overall, I very much recommend RWSCC!

  37. Irene says:

My son Adam started at Elite in Aug 2020. I had so many concerns due to COVID19. Now 9 months later, he is healthy and happy. The communications to the teachers are very effective. And I know Adam is in good hands from the well sorted dirty clothes, pictures and daily notes. And he was only sick once this past winter. This is such a relief for parents. Compared to the chain daycare that Adam was in before, I definitely recommend Elite more.

My 9 month old just finished her 1st week here. She was content and comfortable on day 1, then continued for the whole week. I’m truly amazed how well she transitioned. This has to do with how Catherine and Cathy handled the place. Catherine runs a tight ship with love and care. Everything efficient and well thought out. Every day at drop off and pick up I see these little tiny humanbeens happy and calm, every single one of them!!! The atmosphere must positively influenced my little one as well. I really have nothing bad to say, only gratitudes. Highly recommend! From very happy mom and dad 🙂

Redwood Shores has been excellent for my daughter. Catherine really knows the kids well and helps tailor the kids’ learning to their needs. The teachers at redwood shores helped my daughter transition from being at home full-time to full days at daycare. Now, she absolutely loves school and looks forward to going every day. It’s a nice bonus that she has learned some Chinese. She loves talking about all the new things she has learned and singing the songs she has learned at school.

Our daughter has been going to Redwood Shores Child Care since she was 9 months old. She loved the school and the teacher since day 1. She always has a big smile on her face whenever we drop off and pick up her from the daycare. Catherine and Xiao Hong are both super thoughtful and caring. And we get regular photos and videos where all those special moments were recorded and shared. We are happy with our experience at this daycare.

My son started going redwood shores childcare center when he turned 1 year old. He has enjoyed going there everyday! Teachers there are really friendly and caring, they send pictures of my son playing with different toys, share their learning plan every month. I often learned that he picked up new words, new tricks surprisingly.
Also due to Covid, my son didn’t spend a lot of time meeting people before dc, he was afraid of meeting new people, but ever since he went to redwood shores childcare center, he started enjoying greeting with people. I can see he is really happy there. So highly recommend to every little one!

Our daughter Penny has been at Elite for about 1.5 years now, and she has grown such much under the care of teachers there. She started with teacher Hong upstairs, and is now with teacher Amy downstairs, and comes home happy and content. She loves the projects she does at school, and we appreciate that she has been working on some writing activities, learning letters, and keeping up her Mandarin at school. The team at Elite were very helpful facilitating her adjustment to school when she first started, and were great at communicating; Penny had (and sometimes still has) trouble feeling comfortable in new places with new people, but the teachers were patient and kind to both us as parents and Penny. Our second, and later our third, will be starting in August, and we’re so excited for him!

As a parent, one of the hardest things I’ve had to do is leave my son at daycare for the first time. The fear and uncertainty of being apart were overwhelming, but choosing this daycare turned out to be the best decision for us. From the very beginning, Aron adapted so well, quickly growing to love his time there—a testament to the nurturing environment they provide.

One of the highlights of this daycare is teacher Mimi. Aron adores her, and it’s clear she reciprocates that affection. Her warmth and caring nature shine through in everything she does. She is not just a teacher to the kids; she’s a part of their lives. Her constant updates and engagement, even outside of daycare hours, reassure us that Aron is more than just looked after—he is truly cared for. For instance, when Aron had a few scratches on his arm, Mimi reached out over the weekend to check on him, reflecting her genuine concern and dedication.

I am incredibly pleased with the level of communication from the daycare. It has made the transition so much easier for both Aron and me. Often, he is so engaged and happy that he doesn’t want to leave when I come to pick him up!
